Apples and Telepathy

Shiruku was by far one of the least impressive students when it came to the physical aspect of training. Clumsy and small framed her body could only handle so much strain before she had to stop. After she met Seresana she was determined to catch up though. Pushing her body much harder than she should have until she collapsed from almost six straight hours of rigorous training out in the woods, around her four targets were slightly shredded and covered in Kunai and Shuriken. She had just finished another set of fifty push ups and three rounds of moving target practice. She would get it at some point she was sure, but her tiny form had taken too much of a beating to do much more than lay in the grass where she had fallen. This was not a good sign; for three weeks she had been training this exact routine, she showed no signs of improvement. That was by far the most disheartening portion of training.

As she falls flat on her back, Shiruku might be able to notice a rather surprised Sylvan staring down at her from way up in the trees. In truth, she was a tad concerned. She had been coming here to observe when she had the spare time (which was almost never, truthfully), and had observed the girl go through this routine many, many times. And yet she always seemed to stagnate, never improving. Worrisome. Sylvan's own phobia made her keenly aware of what it felt like to be crushed like a bug, and she would not wish such a fate on any of her fellow village.
Still, she wouldn;t descend just yet unless the girl gave obvious indication of noticing her.
